Browser Core User Guide
User-oriented guide to the browser core. Explains core features, automatic download, system compatibility, and failure handling. No code, only concepts and operations.
📌 Key Highlights
- The core is based on Chromium and is automatically managed by the system; no manual installation is needed.
- The first time you use a specific core version, the system automatically creates a download task. You can view progress in the top Download Manager.
- When downloads fail, follow the recommended order in the Download Manager: Remove task → Check downloaded files → Re-trigger download.
- Deleting core history only affects whether you need to re-download next time. It does not delete browser instance configurations.
🚀 Core Overview
- Chromium-based core, balancing native web experience and fingerprint protection.
- Independent instance environments: cookies, LocalStorage, and SessionStorage are isolated per environment.
- Fingerprint protection coverage: User-Agent, Canvas, WebGL, audio fingerprint, WebRTC, language/time zone, etc.
- Extension management: Download and install extensions, with history and cleanup support.
- Lifecycle management: Create, start, stop, and destroy instances to stay stable and secure.
⬇️ Automatic Core Download
- When you select or use a specific browser core version, the system checks whether it already exists locally.
- If it does not, the system automatically creates a download task and shows progress in the top “Download Manager”.
- Download Manager entry: Cloud-download icon in the top bar. Inside you can view:
- Download list: Ongoing core or extension downloads with statuses and progress.
- Core history: Already downloaded core versions, with delete support.
- Extension history: Already downloaded extensions, with delete support.
- Common statuses: Pending, downloading, extracting, completed, failed, cancelled.
- Actions: Cancel download, remove task, delete downloaded items, check integrity of downloaded files.
Note: After download completes, you do not need to install manually; the system automatically uses that core version on subsequent starts.
🧰 Download Manager Features
- Download list
- View download progress and status for cores/extensions.
- Remove failed tasks and re-trigger download.
- Cancel tasks when network is unstable and retry later.
- Core history
- View downloaded core versions, size, and download time.
- Delete downloaded cores so that they will be re-downloaded or switched next time.
- Extension history
- View downloaded extensions and their install status.
- Delete extension history to keep the environment clean.
- Check downloaded files
- One-click check whether downloaded cores and extensions are missing or corrupted.
- If issues are found, the system cleans invalid records so they can be re-downloaded.
🧩 Core Features (For Users)
- Fingerprint consistency
- With proper GPU/Canvas/WebGL and UA configuration, the environment is more consistent and stable.
- Combined with language/time zone and location settings, this reduces abnormal recognition caused by mismatched environment and network.
- Isolated environments
- Each instance has its own data storage and proxy config, enabling secure multi-account operation.
- Extension control
- Supports extension download and management, reducing unnecessary extension fingerprint leaks.
- Performance and stability
- Core updates include security patches and performance optimizations for long-running stability.
🖥️ System Compatibility and Version Suggestions
- Supported platforms: Windows, macOS, Linux (64-bit recommended).
- Version selection: Prefer verified core versions for compatibility and stability.
- GPU and rendering: GPU/renderers differ across platforms. It is recommended to use “Smart Generate” to match platform characteristics.
- Resource consumption: Newer cores may require more memory and disk space. Ensure adequate system resources.
- Proxy and network: If you use a proxy, make sure the download source is reachable. In case of failure, try switching network or temporarily disabling the proxy to download.
🛠️ Handling Download Failures (Recommended Order)
- Check error details in the Download Manager to identify the cause (network/space/permissions).
- Click “Cancel” or “Remove” on failed tasks and retry after the network is restored.
- Run “Check downloaded files” to clean invalid core or extension records.
- In “Core History”, delete the corresponding core version and re-trigger download.
- Confirm you have enough disk space (especially for download and extraction directories).
- Check whether firewalls or security software are blocking download or extraction.
- If it still fails, try another network or temporarily disable the proxy and retry.
Note: Deleting core history does not affect saved browser instance configurations; it only causes the core to be re-downloaded next time.
✅ Daily Usage Suggestions
- Stick to verified core versions to reduce web compatibility issues caused by frequent version changes.
- Regularly clean unused cores and extension history to keep disk space and the system clean.
- Use “Check downloaded files” to quickly find and clean corrupted or missing items.
- In multi-account scenarios, configure language, time zone, and UA per instance to match the proxy location.
